EAE Motorsports E9X M3 Aluminum Undertray/Skid Plate
The factory front undertray on the E9X M3 is known for being a weak point. Its original felt-fiber construction degrades over time, especially with spirited driving or track use, often leading to sagging, tearing, or complete failure.
The EAE Motorsports solution is a three-piece aluminum replacement that fits directly in place of the OEM unit, reusing all original mounting points for a precise and secure installation—no cutting, trimming, or drilling required.
Unlike other options on the market, this undertray also features a refined oil cooler extraction duct that closely imitates the OEM shape to ensure proper cooling. The ducting includes enclosed sidewalls for better airflow isolation and a larger-radius curve to improve air evacuation from the oil cooler area. For track users, GT4-style brake duct cutouts are also included, allowing for functional brake cooling integration.
The entire unit is finished in a durable black Cerakote, providing superior resistance to corrosion, heat, and abrasion, while giving a clean and stealthy look underneath the car.

Backstory
This undertray has always been our highest-selling product. But to be honest, we felt the pricing in the market was too high — with most other options ranging from $400 to $500.
So we decided to approach it differently. Instead of smaller runs, we committed to producing batches of 100 units through our local supplier here in Michigan. That change alone allowed us to significantly reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining tight quality control.
